Switzerland Through the Eyes of the Youngsters

June 3 - Exploring more of Preda

Signs. Follow the signs. Unfortunately there is no difference between the panoramic and easy trails.
Where should we go today?
Scenery on the panoramic trail.
Clouds, trees, hills, and water
Still smiling after the long 'Walk to Italy'. We only made it to the next train station. I guess the 'Walk to Italy' will be finished on our bums in a nice 1 klasse train car.
Nice Hair!
These are the white lake and dark lakes.. not sure which one is which, or how they got their names.
White and Dark Lakes
This is a waterfall. The "young kids" ran here before running the mile and a half to the glacier. We had to catch a train in 45 mins. Yes, almost 3 miles, 45 minutes at an altitude of 2000m.
Another view well worth the run
This way to Mount Doom.
Now, who wouldn't trust a giant hand hewn out of an ancient Ent?
See this sign?
Yeah, we are going there
Now look what side im on.
And we disregarded the warnings from those who have gone before us
At this point i just run about 1/2 mile to the edge of the glacier, it is raining AND cold. I thought my pants and shirt were wet at this point. I had to catch a train in 15 minutes. Luckily the 'young kids' decided to take the next train.
Also, I don't shave when I am on vacation
Someone gave me the idea of going in the glacier water, but she did it on a warm sunny day. My feet were numb in about 20 seconds. This was actually the second time in the water, the first time the unnamed picture taker had a malfunction with the camera.
Always willing to oblige for a good photo op
